Job Description

Role Overview

The Payments Analyst will be part of the Payments team and support payment operations for the assigned region. The role involves payment processing, bank reconciliations, compliance support, and contributing to the transition of activities into the Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE).

Key Responsibilities

1. Payments Centre of Excellence (CoE) Support

• Support the transition of regional payments activities into the Global Finance Centre of Excellence.
• Assist during the post-transition Hypercare period to identify and resolve service delivery issues.

2. Payments Processing

• Process and execute payments including ACH and wire transfers.
• Verify and validate payment requests for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain accurate records of payment transactions.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Support processing of intercompany payments.

3. Bank Reconciliation

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and track outstanding items.
• Investigate unresolved reconciliation balances.

4. Compliance & Controls

• Ensure activities comply with company policies and financial controls.
• Support internal and external audit requirements when needed.

5. Systems & Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve payments and reconciliation processes.
• Support implementation of new payment systems or tools.
• Assist with documentation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

6. Communication & Collaboration

• Coordinate with vendors, banks, and internal stakeholders regarding payment matters.
• Collaborate with finance teams to ensure smooth payment processing and reporting.
• Respond to queries related to payments and reconciliations.

7. Finance Projects & Initiatives

• Support finance transformation projects led by HQ Controlling.
• Participate in initiatives focused on process standardization and operational efficiency.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

Experience

• 1-2 years experience in payments processing or finance operations within a global finance environment.
• Basic understanding of payments processes, controls, and accounting policies.

Skills & Competencies

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
